Fiber optic wiring for a detached house is done in 4 steps.
Step (1) Introduce optical cable (telephone pole → outer wall of each door)
Typically, in the case of a single-family home, there is a fiber optic cable from the pole to the outer wall of the house, similar to a telephone line. When pulling in, in order to fix the wiring, if necessary, equipment such as fixing brackets can be attached to the outer wall of the house.
Step (2) Indoor wiring of optical fiber lines (exterior wall → indoor)
To pull from outside into inside, common pipes, such as existing telephone pipes, are often used.
If it is difficult to use the existing pipes, we will carry out construction according to the customer's building environment, such as using air conditioning pipes or punching holes in the walls. If the structure of the building makes it difficult for us to get fiber into the home, we may ask you to build the entrance. The outgoing fiber optic cables are connected to line termination equipment installed in the room.
Step (4) Connect to PC
Connect the line termination device and the personal computer with a LAN cable. When using multiple PCs, a wired connection using a broadband router or a connection using a wireless router is required. The customer is basically responsible for the setup between the line termination device and the personal computer.
Recommendations for fiber optic cabling in new homes
If you are considering running fiber optic cables into a new house, from the design stage, the ducts for fiber optic cable entry, where the fiber optic cables will be introduced (where the PC is installed), the ducts for the LAN wiring should be created and installed in every room line termination equipment.
