In apartment buildings, there are three types of wiring that are commonly used. Where each house shares the fiber optic cable that goes into the common space: "Fiber Optic Wiring Method", "VDSL Method" and "LAN Wiring Method", LAN wiring method and VDSL method are similar, depending on the wiring environment in the apartment.
Optical fiber wiring method
Step (1) Electric pole → public space of building (MDF room)
Share a single fiber optic cable from the utility pole to the building's utility space and connect it to the premises terminal. After installing equipment such as optical splitter, patch panel, etc., connect the optical fiber from the premises terminal to the optical splitter, optical fiber patch panel, etc. As a public space in a building, a main distribution frame is used in many cases.
Step (2) Common space (MDF room) in the building → each house
Using ducts within the building, use fiber optic cables to connect splitters or patch panels etc. to each house. A "line termination device" will be installed in each house. The management association and owner are required to prepare the plumbing required for wiring. We will select and install the most suitable equipment according to the customer's application.
Step (3) Wiring in each house
Connect the common fiber optic cable to each house to a "line termination device".
Step (4) Wiring in each house
Connect the line termination device and the personal computer with a LAN cable. When using multiple PCs, a wired connection using a broadband router or a connection using a wireless router is required. The customer is basically responsible for the setup between the line termination device and the personal computer.
VDSL method
Step (1) Electric pole → public space of building (MDF room)
Share a single fiber optic cable from the utility pole to the building's utility space and connect it to the premises terminal. As a public space in a building, main distribution frames are used in many cases.
Step (2) Wiring in the public space (MDF room) of the building
Connect the fiber optic cables from the outside to the building terminal, and use the fiber optic cable inside the building to connect from the premises terminal to the "collective line termination equipment". Connect the line terminating equipment to the "VDSL Aggregate Equipment" with a LAN cable. Line terminating equipment and VDSL aggregation equipment are installed in the rack to prevent dust from entering. Wiring work and equipment installation will be carried out by us. Step (3) Common space (MDF room) in the building → each house
Existing cables will be connected to each house from line termination equipment installed in the common spaces of the building. "VDSL home equipment" will be installed in each house through modular jacks for phone lines. We can install VDSL home equipment at home. (Depending on build type, customers may be required to install VDSL home equipment.)
Step (4) Wiring in each house
Connect the VDSL indoor equipment and the personal computer with a LAN cable. When using multiple PCs, a wired connection using a broadband router or a connection using a wireless router is required. Usually, customers need to connect and connect LAN connectors and LAN cables between personal computers.
