About the construction details of the high-density fiber optic distribution box

The high-density optical fiber distribution box is suitable for the wiring connection of optical cable and optical communication equipment. Through the adapter in the distribution box, the optical signal is drawn out with the optical jumper to realize the optical wiring function. It is suitable for the protective connection of optical cables and distribution pigtails, and is also suitable for the use of optical fiber termination points in optical fiber access networks.

Optical cable distribution boxes are required for the termination, use and management of optical cables in wiring rooms and equipment rooms. We have discussed the installation of high-density optical fiber distribution boxes.


①Introduce the optical cable to the position of the optical cable fixing plate on the rear side of the high-density optical fiber distribution box.

②Cut off the end of the optical cable to a length of about 1m. Then take an appropriate length (about 1500mm), peel off the outer sheath, insert the barbed end of the grounding wire into the stripping part of the optical cable (slightly cut the sheath with a blade), and wrap it tightly with film to ensure reliable contact with the armored steel tape of the optical cable. Take about 85mm length of the metal reinforcing core from the stripping part of the optical cable, cut off the rest, fix the metal reinforcing core on the steel wire fixing seat, and tighten the optical cable with the throat hoop to make it stable. After the stripped optical cable bundle is replaced with a PVC protective hose, it is pre-coiled on the wire take-up area and introduced into the fusion splice disc, and the PVC protection hose is fixed on the fusion splice disc with a cable tie.


③ Take an appropriate length of fiber pigtail (usually 2 meters), stick a sticker on both ends, fix one end of the pigtail on the adapter of the 6-port adapter mounting plate, and lead the other end to the entrance of the splice tray, and use a cable tie to tie the tail. The fiber is fixed on the splice disc.


④ Move the rear box cover and the fusion splicing disc to the outside of the box for optical fiber fusion. After completion, fix the back cover on the box and straighten and fix the optical fiber.


⑤When the optical cable is fixed in other positions (used on a 19-inch optical fiber distribution frame)


When the optical cable is fixed in other positions, it is only necessary to introduce the PVC hose directly into the cable tie board at the rear of the box, and other operations are the same as ③ and ④.
