MPO fiber optic jumper transmission
The application of MPO fiber jumper high-density wiring in practical engineering has an important role and significance. The following are possible problems and corresponding solutions for MPO fiber jumpers:
1. The guide pin hole is damaged
The main reason is that the insertion direction of the male head is inclined during connection, and the front end of the male head guide pin is scratched and scratched. This impairment directly results in an increase in some or all of the channel loss values.
Solution: try to avoid opening the dust cap before connecting the MPO fiber jumper. Try not to remove the dust-proof cap of the adapter interface that has been connected to the adapter panel but not docked. Do not allow the ground end of the connector to touch or scratch anything other than normal mating.
2. The end face is dirty
It is mainly caused by removing the dust cap prematurely before docking or long-term exposure to an unclean environment. Such pollution will directly affect the docking performance of the product, make the docking effect unstable, and even cause damage to the docking connector during docking.
Solution: If there is foreseeable dirt on the end face, try to clean the end face with a special cleaning tool or a cleaning paper soaked with absolute ethanol. Do not use paper towels, absorbent cotton, ordinary cotton swabs and other items to clean the end face.
3. Mechanical damage of parts
It is mainly caused by the excessive application of external force during the construction process. This damage may not affect performance initially, but in the short term it will basically fail completely.
Solution: When docking the connectors, make sure that the direction of the connector positioning key is backward, and the adapter or socket panel is inserted axially. Do not repeatedly plug and unplug without seeing the end face. When the MPO connector is inserted into the adapter, pay attention to the connector sheath part, and when pulling it out, hold the connector housing part.
4. Cable mechanical damage
If it is mainly caused by dragging or unintentional cutting during construction, this kind of damage may not affect the performance at the initial stage, but it will basically fail completely in the short term.
Solution: When bending the cable, keep the bending radius equal to or greater than 20 times the outer diameter of the cable. When bundling the cables, the tightness should be moderate, and the cable sheath should not be severely deformed. When the cable is perforated and threaded, the push-pull method is adopted. Do not pull or push the cable too hard to prevent the cable from being scratched or broken.
