The optical fiber distribution box can use the centralized cross-connect method

2022-06-09 17:06:18

The centralized cross-connect method is a dedicated, high-density fiber optic cabling management method that is typically used as a centralized cross-connect in the main distribution area of a large data center. With a depth of 300 mm, the fiber optic distribution box is fully cabable from the front and can be placed on an unused wall at the end of the cold aisle, or on a single floor tile back-to-back. The fiber optic distribution box has a maximum density of 3600 LCD ports per rack (100 cassettes, 36 ports each) or 7200 LCD ports per floor tile when placed back-to-back.

The difference between the fiber optic distribution box and the traditional 19-inch distribution box is that it can be fully used from the front. This means that users can install, install or remove fiber optic cassettes by simply sliding out the cassettes without having to access the rear of the cabinet. Racks are quick and easy, and a dedicated spare patch cord storage area allows users to make handovers with just two patch cords.

Fiber optic distribution enclosures support high density applications and support splice, patch cord, transition, splitter or WDM cassettes within a centralized cross-connect rack. Incoming backbone cables are connected on the incoming side, while patch cords are connected to ports on the other side of the fiber optic distribution box.

A 19-inch fixture on the rear of the fiber optic enclosure provides full access to all incoming and outgoing fibers, while an integrated service loop allows the cassette to be inserted and retracted quickly and easily.

LISA cassettes are side-attached "blocks" that plug into LISA enclosures within high-density 300 mm racks. Designed for speed and ease of installation, the LISA cassette can be installed and removed in 10 seconds. LISA cassettes cover a wide range of applications including splicing, transitioning, splitting, WDM and patching.

Fiber Optic Distribution Box Solutions

The fiber optic distribution box solution is a flexible modular fiber optic cabling management. By cleverly combining the available building blocks, this concept supports a variety of different applications. The continuous development of fiber optic distribution boxes enables customer needs to be met in the best possible way.
