What are the types of distribution frames? There are three types of distribution frames: one is 110 wire type distribution frame (that is, modular distribution frame), and the second is straight-through distribution frame (card-type distribution frame ), the third is the electronic distribution frame.


1. 110 patch panel

The front panel of the 110 patch panel is an RJ45 interface, and each interface has a digital identification. The rear panel of the 110 patch panel is a patch module, which marks the T568A and T568B line sequence standards. The network cables can be connected according to the line sequence according to the actual needs.


2. Straight-through distribution frame

The front and rear panels of the straight-through patch panel are all RJ45 interfaces, and each interface on the panel has a digital identification. Currently, there are two sizes of patch panels with 24 ports and 48 ports on the market. In fact, the straight-through distribution frame is more convenient to use than the 110-wire distribution frame. It can be used by directly inserting the network cable, which is more suitable for high-density wiring requirements.


3. Electronic distribution frame

The use method of the electronic distribution frame is the same as that of the straight-through type distribution frame, and it can be directly inserted into the network cable. The electronic distribution frame can analyze and form data through the detection line, which brings convenience to the network maintenance personnel. There are two detection methods of port and link in the detection form. The network cables used in different forms are different, which can be determined according to the equipment. Due to the relatively high cost of the electronic distribution frame, it is rarely used in the current project.


What are the connection methods of the distribution frame?

No matter what type of distribution frame, there are two connection methods, one is direct connection and the other is cross connection.


1. Straight line connection

Straight-line connection (also known as mutual connection) means that one end of the horizontal cable (network cable) is connected to the distribution frame in the work room, and the other end is connected to the distribution frame in the distribution room. Panels are usually RJ-45.


2. Cross connection

The cross-connect method refers to installing two distribution frames in the horizontal link, connecting one end of the two distribution frames in the horizontal link through a network cable, and then connecting the other ends of the two distribution frames in the horizontal link through a network cable. Connect with the distribution frame in the workshop and the distribution frame in the distribution room.


The above two distribution frame connection methods can locate the communication lines to different positions of the building, which is convenient for us to manage the communication lines, and at the same time, it is convenient to plug and unplug when moving the terminal.


How to connect the distribution frame and the switch?

From the connection method of the above-mentioned distribution frame, it can be seen that the rear end of the distribution frame in the work room or the distribution frame in the distribution room is idle, and the distribution frame in the work room is generally connected to the server by a network cable. , The distribution frame in the distribution room generally uses a network cable to connect it to the switch, so how is the distribution frame connected to the switch? It depends on the type of distribution frame and the connection method of the distribution frame. Depending on the type and connection method, the connection scheme between the distribution frame and the switch will also be different.


Before the distribution frame is connected to the switch, first determine the storage location of the distribution frame and the switch, then select the appropriate length and quantity of network cables according to the needs, and finally perform the wiring connection according to the type and connection method of the distribution frame. The specific connection is as follows:


1. 110 patch panel direct connection wiring scheme

The direct connection wiring scheme adopts one of the above-mentioned distribution frame connection methods, and uses network cables to connect the distribution frame in the work room and the distribution frame in the distribution room. Since the rear panel of the 110 patch panel is in the wiring mode, we need to patch the network cable, and we cannot use the network cable directly. 110 wiring type distribution frame wiring steps are as follows:


First use a wire stripper to peel off the shell of the network cable (the reserved length is 40MM), then drive the network cable into the clamp according to the international standard T568B or T568A wire sequence, and finally use the wire cutter to crimp the network cable and cut it.


Other cables can be driven into the distribution frame according to the above steps. It should be noted that the connected network cables need to be fixed on the cable support frame with cable ties, which can effectively protect the network cables and facilitate management and maintenance.


2. Straight-through distribution frame cross-wiring scheme

The cross-wiring scheme is another way of using the above-mentioned distribution frame connection method. Two distribution frames are added to the horizontal link, and one end of the two distribution frames in the horizontal link is connected by a network cable, and then the horizontal link is connected. The other ends of the two distribution frames in the road are respectively connected to the distribution frames in the work room and the distribution frames in the distribution room through network cables.
