OPGW fiber optic cable, Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Ground Wire (also called fiber optic composite overhead ground wire). Ground wire usage


OPGW optical cable grounding wire is mainly used for the safety grounding of composite ground wire (OPGW) optical cable or overhead ground wire to improve the reliability of the grounding system.

The box body is made of imported reinforced plastic, which has high strength and corrosion resistance. The terminal is suitable for the connection in the terminal room of the structural optical cable. The structure is mature, the sealing is reliable, and the construction is convenient. In actual work, the optical cable terminal box can be used as an indoor joint box, but the joint box is rarely used as an optical cable terminal box. At present, the horizontal optical cable joint box is mainly selected in the northern region, and the cap type is mainly used in the southern region. The main difference between the two is: the direction of the horizontal input and output cables is at both ends of the box;


The cap type is usually on one side of the box body. According to the laying method of the optical cable, the optical cable splice box can be selected to be suitable for various types of direct buried, pipeline, overhead straight-through or branched optical cable connections. How to use OPGW splice box

Select the sealing ring with the smallest inner diameter according to the outer diameter of the optical cable, and put the two sealing rings on the optical cable.

Put the fiber optic cable into the corresponding entry hole.

Connect shield and ground.

Wrap the self-adhesive sealing tape between the two sealing rings so that the sealing tape is flush with the outer diameter of the sealing ring to form a cable gland.


Press the cable gland into the cable entry hole.

Use the throat hoop to pass through the optical cable reinforcing rib holder and the cable core support, fix the optical cable on the base of the splice box, and tighten the throat hoop screws until the throat hoop is tightened.

Tie nylon cable ties on the optical cable and cut off the excess length.

For the remaining unused optical cable holes, please seal them with plugs. Also wrap the sealing tape around the plug.

Wrap the reinforcing member around the countersunk head screw of the splice tray support and press tightly.

When splicing and coiling the fiber, be sure to stick it firmly with tape.

Buckle the cover, be sure to pay attention to the sealing ring not to squeeze and skew. All screws should be tightened to prevent the optical cable from coming out.
