Wiring requirements and functions of explosion-proof junction boxes in weak current projects

2022-08-03 16:07:42

As we all know, the explosion-proof junction box is a kind of connection that is explosion-proof and has strong sealing performance for circuit laying. It looks like a closed box. When the cable passes through it, the lock nut enters and exits and connects, thereby effectively avoiding the phenomenon of sparks in the connection place. And its shell is usually made of aluminum alloy, and in order to make it better fire resistance and corrosion resistance, it is often sprayed on its surface.

The junction box is composed of a box cover, a box body, a terminal block, a diode, a connecting wire and a connector. The shell should have strong anti-aging and UV resistance, and meet the requirements of outdoor harsh environments; the self-locking function makes the connection more convenient and firm; the terminals should be firmly installed and have good weldability with the confluence. Connector, connecting wire: It has good insulation performance, and the male and female plugs have self-locking function, which makes the solar panel and electrical connection more convenient and reliable.

1. Explosion-proof junction box: performance characteristics

1. Flameproof explosion-proof grade, can be used safely in various flammable and explosive dangerous places. High-intensity gas discharge lamps are used as light sources, with high luminous efficiency and long service life, with an average service life of more than 10,000 hours.

2. The transparent parts have been optimized and processed, the light is soft, the illumination is uniform, and there is no ghosting, which effectively avoids eye discomfort and fatigue of the construction workers.

3. The shell is made of light alloy material and treated by high-tech spraying, which is wear-resistant, anti-corrosion, waterproof and dustproof, and can be used outdoors for a long time.

4. Exquisite structural design, good heat dissipation performance, effectively reduce the temperature of the lamp body, and improve the service life of the lamp. It has good electromagnetic compatibility and will not cause interference to the surrounding environment.

5. Light weight, small size, compact and beautiful, easy to operate.

2. Explosion-proof junction box: wiring requirements

Customers who have used explosion-proof junction box products should know that there are binding posts inside the explosion-proof junction box, so do you need to use binding posts when wiring? Is it necessary to use the terminal, and are there any wiring requirements in this regard?

Explosion-proof junction boxes are used for lighting threading connections in explosion-proof areas. Some customers will remove the internal terminal posts without using the internal terminal posts. The cable and cable connections are directly wrapped with insulating tape to ensure insulation. Generally, the wiring is done with a terminal. If you use a terminal, the key is to tighten it. Use insulating tape instead of connecting the post. After a winter and a summer, the insulating tape may fall off and cause a short circuit accident.

3. Explosion-proof junction box: role

Explosion-proof junction boxes are generally made of cast metal. Its function is to work in an explosive gas environment. Even if there is a circuit spark in the box, or some deflagrating gas is penetrated into the box, a small-scale deflagration occurs under the action of the spark. The box can withstand such situations and prevent the junction box. Sparks caused by internal short circuits have an impact on the hazardous area of the site.
