1. Construction method of leather fiber optic cable


In the FTTX project, two connection methods are mainly used: one is optical cable cold splicing technology (physical connection) based on cold splices, and the other is hot fusion technology using fusion splicer as a tool.


1. Cold splicing technology: The optical fiber cold splicing is used when two pigtails are butted. The main component inside is a precise v-groove. After the two pigtails are pulled out, the cold splicing is used to realize the butt of the two pigtails. . It is simpler and faster to operate and saves time than welding with a welding machine. On the surface, the cold splicing operation is simple and fast, which saves time compared with the fusion splicer, but the cold splicing technology is mainly used in emergency applications after the optical cable communication is interrupted.

2. Hot-melt technology: that is, a technology that uses a welding machine as a tool. Its loss is small. The two optical fibers adopt hot-melt technology and are spliced according to the trunk line standard, which greatly reduces the splicing loss. Since the hot-melt standard is required by the trunk line construction, the service life of the general splicing point will be similar to that of the ordinary optical cable, and there is no single point. lifespan issue.


2. Construction specifications for leather cable

1. The type of user's residential building, environmental conditions and the routing of existing cables should be considered before the installation of household optical cables. At the same time, it is necessary to comprehensively judge the economy and safety of construction, the convenience of future maintenance and user satisfaction. . The existing dark pipes should be used to lay the home optical cables. For residential buildings without dark pipes or unusable home dark pipes, the butterfly drop cables should be laid by laying corrugated pipes in the building.


2. For residential buildings with vertical wiring bridges, corrugated pipes and floor crossing boxes should be installed in the bridges for passing the butterfly drop cables. If there is no space to install the corrugated pipe in the bridge, the winding pipe should be used to wrap the butterfly-shaped lead-in optical cable laid in it to protect the optical cable.


3. Since the butterfly drop cable cannot be immersed in water for a long time, it is generally not suitable for direct laying in underground pipes. The minimum bending radius for laying the butterfly drop cable should be in accordance with: it should not be less than 30mm during the laying process; it should not be less than 15mm after fixing. In general, the traction force of the butterfly drop cable should not exceed 80% of the allowable tension of the cable; the maximum momentary The pulling force shall not exceed 100% of the allowable tension of the optical cable, and the main pulling force shall be applied to the strengthening member of the optical cable.


4.An optical cable reel should be used to carry the butterfly drop cable, and a cable release bracket should be used when laying the optical cable, so that the optical cable reel can automatically rotate to prevent the optical cable from being entangled. In the process of laying the optical fiber, the tensile strength and bending radius of the optical fiber should be strictly paid attention to, so as to avoid the optical fiber from being entangled, twisted, damaged and stepped on.
