(3) Optical cable maintenance personnel should be familiar with optical cable line information, proficient in line emergency repair operation procedures, obstacle testing methods and optical cable connection technology, strengthen emergency repair vehicle management, and be ready for emergency repairs at any time.
Special equipment, tools, instruments, machinery and traffic vehicles for emergency repairs must be relatively concentrated, and a list should be listed, ready to be prepared at any time, and generally not borrowed or misappropriated.
Matters needing attention during processing
(1) During the repair of the optical cable line, attention should be paid to the safe operation and use of the instruments and equipment. Before the optical fiber fault test, the optical fiber under test is physically disconnected from the optical transceiver at the opposite end.
(2) Once the fault is eliminated and passed the strict test, immediately notify the maintenance department to verify the transmission quality of the optical cable and restore the communication as soon as possible.
(3) Seriously do a good job of fault inspection and repair records. After troubleshooting, the line maintenance department should organize relevant personnel to analyze the cause of the failure in a timely manner in accordance with relevant regulations, organize technical data and report it. Summarize experience and lessons and propose improvement measures.
(4) When intervening or replacing the optical cable, the same type of optical cable from the same manufacturer as the faulty optical cable should be used, and the optical cable joints and optical fiber connection loss should be minimized as much as possible. The length of the fiber optic cable involved or replaced in the troubleshooting process should generally not be less than 200m, and the same manufacturer and the same type of fiber optic cable should be used as much as possible. The average splice loss of single-mode fiber should not exceed 0.2dB/piece. After troubleshooting and relocation, the bending radius of the optical cable should not be less than 15 times the cable diameter.
Matters needing attention when jumping fibers
(1) Before jumping the fiber, first test the spare fiber core to ensure that the fiber core to be used meets the relevant requirements.
(2) In the process of troubleshooting, if it is necessary to jump the fiber to restore the business, the prior approval of the transmission center should be obtained, and the fiber jumper can be carried out only when it can keep in touch with the transmission room at all times.
(3) It is strictly forbidden to unplug and insert other cores in use that do not require fiber jumpers, so as to avoid the occurrence of human failures.
(4) When unplugging and inserting fiber cores, it can only be done core by core. After each core has been jumped, the next fiber jumper can be unplugged and inserted only after the transmission room confirms that it is normal.
(5) When the fiber jumper is used, keep the fiber core clean, and the fiber jumper head needs to be cleaned. If the fiber jumper is not inserted in a short time, the fiber jumper helmet should be put on in time.
